Rensselaer County Historical Society The Rensselaer County Historical Society and Museum is open on Saturdays from 12-5, right after the market In addition to its amazing architecture, Troy boasts a large collection of windows created by the American master of stained glass, Louis Comfort Tiffany. You can find them with this self-guided walking tour! Troy's Little Italy Neighborhood Great food! Friendly people! Bocce ball courts! Grab a slice or a cuppa and soak up some old Troy neighborhood charm! Be sure to check out the historic location of Troy's open-air public market, for which there are big plans ahead. Troy's newest happening -- set for every last Friday of the month -- has opened to rave reviews! Be sure to see Tiffany's "House of Aldus" window, which illustrates a scene from Dante's "Divine Comedy." And, while you're there, check out the nifty glass floors in the library's stacks! This traditional holiday event transforms the streets of downtown Troy into a wonderful, historical "magical stage" every December! This 1840 park surrounded by some of Troy's most elegant homes is one of only two privately owned urban parks in the United States. The other is Gramercy Park in Manhattan.
