Kayla Jolin

Kayla Jolin is a multimedia artist, muralist, and arts organizer based in Troy, NY. A decade of art education experience, a BFA in Painting, and an extensive background in scenic theatre painting, collectively inform their passion for fostering creative collaboration.

Kayla’s recent local community projects include murals at Doors of Hope, Hope 7 Community Center, and Sand Lake Public Library. They also teach workshops at The Art Center of the Capital Region, Upstairs Arts Collective, and local libraries.

Since relocating from Arizona to Upstate NY in 2020, they have managed the Residency program at Arts Letters & Numbers and founded The Studio Troy and Upstairs Arts Collective, artist cooperatives in Troy.

When they are not teaching or painting murals, Kayla can be found in the studio or the woods, creating work inspired by botany, memory, and transformation.
