Kit is a muralist, illustrator and public artist originally from Averill Park, NY and currently based out of Boston. Kit prioritizes opportunities to create vibrant, site-specific, public-facing works that celebrate, spotlight, and honor the social, natural, and creative environments in which they are implemented. She strives to create works that will not only add liveliness, color and texture to the everyday visual environment, but will also meaningfully resonate with the communities that host them. She loves ladders and lifts, sunny and dry weather, and making colorful things happen on unusual surfaces.

Artist’s Statement:
This mural is intended to be about the ecologies and co-conspirators that enable our local foodways. The farmers' market is a celebration of fruits, vegetables, produce and products of all kinds. My painting expands the cornucopia a level or two beyond what makes it to our vendors' tables, celebrating plants and fungi that mingle with our dinner ingredients in the soil, UV rays that feed photosynthesis, seed-spreading birds, and light sources of different kinds.
