Lexi Hannah: "See You Next Saturday"
The Artist
I'm a mixed-media artist currently residing in Upstate New York. I've worked on individual and community projects across the US, Italy, Ecuador, and Peru. I find great joy in practicing mindfulness while creating colorful paintings of varying mediums and unifying themes- I'm particularly interested in using art as a vehicle for healing by focusing on and capturing what's joyful and light. I also give private art lessons and love helping to guide people in finding their voice through their creative projects. The Mural
“See You Next Saturday” was intended to capture the essence of TWFM as well as the greater Troy community. I knew my piece would be above the exit, and the words essentially say, “Bye, see you next time!” so I thought it would be fun to summarize/touch on the many themes that can be seen throughout the market before leaving.
