Special "Girl Blue" Performance + Dance at TWFM

ADVISORY: SPECIAL “GIRL BLUE” PERFORMANCE + DANCE @ TROY FARMERS MARKET

TROY (09/13/19) -- Girl Blue (Arielle O’Keefe), a Troy-based musician who has earned national recognition, will participate in a special performance tomorrow during the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market.

At 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and noon, Synergia Dance Project will present a preview of “Dark Blue Sea,” a cinematic dance experience set to live music by Dark Honey, Girl Blue, and The Sea The Sea with visual narratives by Chromoscope Pictures.

O’Keefe will perform her Girl Blue song “Heavy Heart” live on on acoustic guitar as Troy Dance Factory’s Haley Wyant performs a choreographed dance accompanied by video story by Chromoscope Pictures.

“It’s a hybrid of a play, concert and dance show,” said artistic director and choreographer Nadine Medina of her Synergia Dance Project.

Saturday’s preview will occur on a stage on Broadway, in front of The Placid Baker.

Synergia Dance Project will have a community table set up during the market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring the dancers of “Dark Blue Sea” and promotional merchandise for sale.

There will be three performances of Dark Blue Sea on Thursday, Oct. 3 at Proctors GE Theater in Schenectady, on Friday Oct. 4 at Club Helsinki in Hudson and on Friday Oct. 11 at Cohoes Music Hall. Tickets are available at: https://www.synergiadanceproject.com/
