Advisory: Parking Notice re: Troy Waterfront Farmers Market

TROY, N.Y. (07/30/21) — The Uncle Sam Parking Garage will be closed this Saturday and possibly for longer.

However, there is plenty of free weekend parking on city streets, parking lots and garages. The closest available surface lot is 500 Federal St. across from the Green Island Bridge.

There are city owned parking lots immediately north of the Green Island Bridge, too, at 401 River St. (From there, walk south along the new seawall promenade to our Riverfront Park location.)

Other parking at the State Street Parking Garage, 1st St. Parking lot, 5th Ave. Parking Garage and on the streets.

The Troy Waterfront Farmers Market offers a free vendor space to a different downtown Troy merchant each week at its temporary Riverfront Park location. This program is to help connect brick-and-mortar stores to the farmers market while the market is at its temporary location due to COVID-19 circumstances.

This Saturday's newest shopkeeper is Hatchet Hardware, offering a variety of home goods and gifts including personal, folding shopping carts — the perfect item for our customers who have to walk a few extra blocks to reach their cars.
